Strong educational network in South America: SRH Fernhochschule expands cooperation with Paraguayan partner university
The memorandum of understanding testifies to the two institutions' desire to intensify cooperation in various areas. These include the exchange of information, reciprocal visits by faculty members and students, the development of joint academic programs, the implementation of joint research activities and participation in seminars and conferences. In short, a cross-continental network of experts will be created.
Education without borders
This agreement was signed during the celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the Universidad Paraguayo Alemana in Asunción. On this occasion, representatives of SRH, including the Chairman of the Board, Prof. Dr. Christof Hettich, and Christian Gerard, Managing Director of SRH Higher Education, met with representatives of the partner university, including the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña Palacios.
Education as an economic factor
“High-quality, future-oriented education is an important economic and value-added factor. The export of education and knowledge also makes an enormous contribution to the personal development of young people and the country as a whole. This is impressively demonstrated by the UPA,” said Prof. Dr. Christof Hettich, Chairman of the SRH Board of Management.
Although the Rector and Managing Director of SRH Fernhochschule, Prof. Dr. Ottmar Schneck, was unable to attend the ceremony in person, he sent a special message of greeting to mark the occasion: “Education knows no borders, and we are firmly convinced that we can continue to overcome these borders through a closer partnership.” Schneck also praised UPA's commitment to promoting education and emphasized the importance of closer cooperation between the two institutions.
Career opportunities in the international education market
SRH Fernhochschule and Universidad Paraguayo Alemana will intensify their cooperation and expand the educational opportunities for students at both institutions. This has now been put in writing with the Memorandum of Understanding. Schneck concludes: “We are looking forward to working together on joint projects and implementing them across national borders.” This cooperation creates new opportunities on the international education market for both Latin American and German students.
