General Collection of Data
When you access our website or retrieve a file, data about this process is stored in a log file on our web server. The following data may be stored:
- IP address (where possible, this is stored in anonymized form)
- Domain name of the website you came from
- Names of the retrieved files
- Date and time of access
- Name of your internet service provider
- Possibly, the operating system and browser version of your device.
We only store IP addresses for data security reasons to ensure the stability and security of our system (the legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, our legitimate interest). The statistical evaluation of anonymized data records is reserved.
How do we use data about you, and how do we share it?
If there is an option to enter personal or business data (email addresses, names, addresses) within the website, the user's disclosure of such data is entirely on a voluntary basis.
The personal data you provide is exclusively used for the purpose of technical administration of the website and to fulfill your requests and requirements. This typically includes processing related to the contract between us or addressing your inquiry. The legal basis for this processing is in accordance with:
- Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR: Your consent. You can revoke your given consent at any time with effect for the future. Please direct your revocation to datenschutz@mobile-university.de.
- Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures)
- Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (our legitimate interest).
We do not share or transmit your personal data to third parties, unless it's necessary for contractual fulfillment, legal reasons, or you have explicitly consented. Under no circumstances will we sell your data.
How long will your data be stored?
In general, we store all information you provide to us within the legal framework and only as long as it's necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. For example, with inquiries, the data is stored until the inquiry is resolved, and with newsletters, until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. If longer storage is necessary or required by law, the data will be stored within this framework, and it will be automatically deleted afterward.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a small file that is placed and stored on your device by the internet browser you use. These cookies process certain information from you, such as your browser or location data, or your IP address, to varying extents. This processing makes our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure, as it enables features such as displaying our website in different languages or offering a shopping cart function. Some cookies are necessary to ensure the functionality of our website. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, protecting our legitimate interests.
If you wish to generally prevent the use of cookies, you can do so through local settings in your internet browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari).
For non-technically necessary cookies, we use them based on your consent. The legal basis in this case is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
What do we do to ensure processing security?
Our company implements comprehensive technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and misuse.
SSL or TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this page uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
These are your data protection rights

To exercise your rights, please use the contact details of the data controller mentioned above.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify our security and privacy measures as necessary due to technological developments. There may also be substantial changes in content or functionality. In all such cases, we will adjust our privacy notices accordingly. Therefore, please refer to the most current version of our privacy policy.
The last modification was made on 10th August 2023.
Data protection in applications and the application process
We collect and process the personal data of applicants for the purpose of processing the application procedure. The processing may also be carried out electronically. This is particularly the case if an applicant sends us the relevant application documents electronically, for example by e-mail. When concluding an employment contract with an applicant, the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. If no employment contract is concluded with the applicant, the application documents will be automatically deleted six months after notification of the rejection decision, provided that no other legitimate interests of the controller prevent such deletion. Another legitimate interest in this sense is, for example, a duty to provide evidence in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
Contact Forms
If you submit inquiries to us via a contact form, the information you provide in the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide, will be stored and processed solely for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for follow-up questions. We send newsletters containing promotional information only with the consent of the recipients or based on legal permission.
The subscription to our newsletter is done through a double-opt-in procedure: After subscribing, you will receive an email in which you can confirm your subscription. This confirmation is necessary to verify you as the owner of the email address. The subscription to the newsletter is logged in order to comply with legal requirements. This includes storing the times of subscription and confirmation, as well as your IP address.
You can cancel the subscription to the newsletter at any time. A link to unsubscribe from the newsletter is included in every newsletter email.
Withdrawal: You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending an email to newsletter@mobile-university.de. If you do not unsubscribe from the newsletter, your data will be stored until you revoke your consent.
References to Third-Party Websites
On this website, references to third-party websites are provided in the form of links or hyperlinks. Only when you click on such a link will data related to the link destination be transferred. This is technically necessary. The transferred data includes, in particular: your IP address, the time at which you clicked the link, the page on which you clicked the link, and information about your internet browser. If you do not want this data to be transferred to the link destination, do not click on the link.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.
Google employs cookies. The information generated by the cookie about users' use of the online offer is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate users' use of our online offer, to compile reports on activities within this online offer, and to provide us with further services related to the use of this online offer and internet usage. Pseudonymous usage profiles of users can be created from the processed data.
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. This means that the IP address of users within member states of the European Union or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area will be shortened by Google. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate users' use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide the website operator with further services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by the user's browser will not be merged with other Google data.
Browser Plugin
Users can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting their browser software settings. However, we advise users that if they do this, they may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Users can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the website (including their IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
For more information about Google's data usage for advertising purposes, settings, and opt-out options, please visit Google's websites: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/partners/ ("How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps"), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads ("Data usage for advertising purposes"), http://www.google.de/settings/ads ("Managing information that Google uses to show you ads"), and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ ("Decide which ads Google shows you").
Objection to Data Collection
Users can prevent the collection of their data by Google Analytics by either not activating the relevant cookies when they first visit our website or by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents the collection of user data during future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics.
For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please refer to Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Google Adwords and Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses the online advertising program "Google AdWords," which includes conversion tracking. When you access our website through a Google ad, a cookie is placed on your computer by Google AdWords. These cookies have a validity period of 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, both we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained through the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that allows them to personally identify users. Users who do not wish to participate in tracking can easily deactivate the Google conversion tracking cookie through their internet browser's user settings. These users will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of "conversion cookies" is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (your consent).

Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in connection with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.
This feature allows us to link the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been tailored to your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g. mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).
If you have given your consent, Google links your web and app browser history to your Google account for this purpose. This enables the same personalized advertising messages to be displayed on every device where you log in with your Google account.
To support this function, Google Analytics captures Google-authenticated IDs of users that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data in order to define and create target groups for cross-device advertising.
You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by deactivating personalized advertising in your Google account; to do so, follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
The aggregation of the collected data in your Google account is based solely on your consent, which you can give or revoke at Google (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). For data collection processes that are not merged into your Google account (for example, because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merging), the collection of data is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the website operator's interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.

Google Search
We provide you with the option to search the contents of the website using our search function. For this purpose, we utilize the service provided by Google.
No data is fundamentally transmitted to the service provider (Google) when official pages of our company's website are accessed that have the "Google Custom Search" integrated. Data is only transferred to Google once the user activates the search box, initiates a full-text search, and accesses the search results page. By using the search function within the search results page, user data is simultaneously transmitted to Google.
Google employs cookies such as PREF, NID, or SID cookies to customize advertisements in Google products like Google Search. Google uses cookies to capture your recent search queries, your previous interactions with advertiser advertisements or search results, and your visits to advertiser websites. This way, Google tailors advertisements to your specific interests on their platform.
By using the full-text search and thus accessing the search results page, you agree to the usage of the Google search service, including the transfer of data to the Google service. This includes the search terms you entered and the IP address of the computer you're using. Please be aware that Google adheres to different privacy standards compared to our company's internet offering. We explicitly inform you that the processing, especially the storage, deletion, and use of potentially transmitted personal data, is the responsibility of the search service provider. Our company, as the operator of its internet presence, has no influence over the nature, extent, and further processing of the transferred data. If you are simultaneously logged into Google, the Google service can directly associate the information with your user profile. To prevent the collection of profile information about you, you should log out.
For more information from Google about their handling of user data, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy https://policies.google.com/privacy
Use and application of YouTube
This website contains components from YouTube. YouTube is an internet video portal that enables video publishers to upload video clips for free, and other users can view, rate, and comment on them also for free. YouTube allows the publication of all kinds of videos, including complete movies and TV shows, as well as music videos, trailers, or user-generated videos accessible through the internet portal.
We maintain an online presence on YouTube to showcase our company and services and communicate with customers/prospects. YouTube is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
We would like to point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union, particularly in the United States. This could entail increased risks for users, such as making later access to user data more difficult. Additionally, we have no access to these user data. The access possibility lies solely with YouTube. Google LLC uses the EU standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and relies on adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission for data transfers from the EEA to the USA and other countries if applicable.
You can find YouTube's privacy policy at YouTube Privacy Policy.
Each time you access a page on our website that includes a YouTube component (YouTube video), your internet browser is automatically prompted by the respective YouTube component to download a representation of the corresponding YouTube component from YouTube. More information about YouTube can be found at About YouTube. As part of this technical process, YouTube and Google gain knowledge of which specific subpage of our website you visited.
If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube recognizes, with the visit of a subpage containing a YouTube video, which specific subpage of our website the person concerned has visited. This information is collected by YouTube and Google and assigned to the respective YouTube account of the person concerned.
YouTube and Google always receive information about the person concerned visiting our website whenever the person is logged into YouTube at the time of accessing our website. This happens regardless of whether you click on a YouTube video or not. If you do not want this information to be transmitted to YouTube and Google, you can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before accessing our website.
Registration
The data subject has the possibility to register on the website of the data controller by providing personal data. The specific personal data transmitted to the data controller through the respective input mask used for registration is evident from the registration form itself. The personal data entered by the data subject is collected and stored exclusively for internal use by the data controller and for its own purposes. The data controller may arrange for the transfer of personal data to one or more processors, for example a parcel delivery service, who will also use the personal data exclusively for internal purposes attributable to the data controller.
Through registration on the website of the data controller, the IP address assigned by the internet service provider (ISP) to the data subject, along with the date and time of registration, is also stored. The storage of this data takes place in order to prevent misuse of our services and to enable these data to be used to investigate criminal offenses and copyright infringements, if necessary. In this respect, the storage of this data is necessary to secure the data controller. Disclosure of this data to third parties does not generally take place unless there is a legal obligation to disclose or the disclosure serves criminal prosecution or legal enforcement.
The registration of the data subject with voluntary provision of personal data serves the data controller to offer content or services that can only be offered to registered users due to the nature of the matter. Furthermore, the registration of the data subject (in the privacy policy generator) serves the monitoring of the use of the texts issued by us that are protected by copyright, as well as the verification of link placement and attribution of authorship, as well as for our own documentation purposes. We also use the data collected through the privacy policy generator for customer acquisition, especially for telephone contact and the sending of advertising by mail and email. Registered individuals are free to request the complete deletion of the personal data provided during registration from the data repository of the data controller.
The data controller grants each data subject the right to request information at any time about which personal data concerning them is stored. Furthermore, the data controller corrects or deletes personal data at the request or instruction of the data subject, provided there are no legal storage obligations that prevent this. The data protection officer specifically named in this privacy policy and all employees of the data controller are available to the data subject as contact persons in this context.

We would like to inform you about the processing of personal data through the XING Share button function.
The "XING Share button" is used on this website. XING does not store any personal data from you through the access to this website. Specifically, XING does not store IP addresses. The "Unibuddy" service is integrated into our websites and does not run on our servers. Unibuddy is used to connect you and your questions via an iFramed chat on our website with current students, alumni, and staff. To ensure that access to our websites with these integrated services does not automatically result in third-party content being reloaded, we first ask you in our cookie banner to allow this service. Only after clicking "okay" will Unibuddy content be reloaded. We have no control over further data processing by Unibuddy. The integration is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
Brevo
We use Brevo for sending newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. Brevo is a service that, among other things, helps organize and analyze newsletter distribution. The data you enter to subscribe to the newsletter is stored on the servers of Sendinblue GmbH in Germany.
Data Analysis by Brevo
With Brevo, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. For example, we can see if a newsletter message was opened and which links were clicked, if any. This helps us determine which links were clicked the most. Additionally, we can see if certain predefined actions were taken after opening/clicking the newsletter (conversion rate). For instance, we can tell if you made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.
Brevo also allows us to categorize newsletter recipients into different groups (“clusters”). For example, recipients can be categorized by age, gender, or location. This helps us tailor the newsletters better to the respective target groups.
If you do not want Brevo to analyze your data, you need to unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide an unsubscribe link in each newsletter message.
For detailed information about Brevo’s features, please refer to the following link: https://www.brevo.com/de/newsletter-software/.
Legal Basis
The data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Data Storage Duration
The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, and it will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe. Data that has been stored for other purposes remains unaffected.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider if necessary to prevent future mailings. The data in the blacklist is only used for this purpose and is not combined with other data. Maileon
Email Mailing and Newsletter Delivery through Maileon
The dispatch of our email mailings and newsletters is handled by the technical service provider Maileon (XQueue GmbH, Christian-Pleß-Str. 11-13, 63069 Offenbach am Main). Maileon organizes and analyzes the dispatch of email mailings and newsletters. The data you provide for the purpose of receiving email mailings and/or newsletters will be forwarded to our processor Maileon and processed exclusively within the EU.
Data Analysis by Maileon
XQueue uses personal data for the dispatch and statistical analysis of email mailings and newsletters on our behalf. For analysis purposes, the sent emails contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. This allows us to determine whether an email or newsletter message was opened and which links were clicked. Additionally, technical information is collected (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system).
Maileon also enables us to categorize ("cluster") the recipients of email mailings and newsletters based on various criteria. For example, recipients can be divided by age, gender, or place of residence.
The data is collected exclusively in a pseudonymized manner and is not linked to your other personal data, ensuring that it cannot be directly traced back to you. The data is used solely for the statistical analysis of email mailings and newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future email mailings and newsletters to the interests of the recipients. Detailed information about the functions of Maileon can be found at the following link: https://maileon.com/de/datenschutz/.
Legal Basis
The data processing and transfer for receiving email mailings and newsletters is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out based on the consent until revocation remains unaffected.
The analysis through Maileon is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure, and user-friendly email mailing and newsletter system. If you do not wish for analysis by Maileon, you can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. A corresponding link is provided in each email mailing and newsletter message.
Storage Duration
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving email mailings and/or newsletters will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the email mailings and/or newsletters either with us or the service provider, and will be deleted from the distribution list after unsubscribing. Data stored with us for other purposes remain unaffected.

The data you enter will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage ceases. Mandatory legal provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.
Legal Basis
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, as the appointment request is aimed at concluding a contract. Additionally, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR applies. The website operator has a legitimate interest in making appointment scheduling with interested parties as simple as possible. If corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG.
