SRH Fernhochschule | Prof. Dr. Stefan Müller
Entrepreneurial activity involves the perception of opportunities and risks. Deviations from a planned, targeted state are two sides of the same coin: a deviation can be in favour of (opportunity) or to the detriment of the company (risk). Risk management provides a methodology for identifying opportunities and risks and dealing with them effectively – and thus connecting a company's present with its future by actively shaping it. In this way, risk management becomes an indispensable part of a company's strategic development.
