Organisation

How to organise your language course abroad

 

You are responsible for organising your language course abroad yourself. With a PROMOS scholarship, you can receive funding.

Funding

This is how your funding works

Language courses abroad with at least 35 hours per week can be funded with a PROMOS Scholarship for up to 4 weeks. You'll receive a partial scholarship of EUR 350 to EUR 550 per month, depending on your destination, plus a one-time mobility grant of EUR 550.

Application

This is how you can apply

Submit your complete application documents in English via email to promos@mobile-university.de by the specified deadline (see below).

  • Curriculum Vitae in tabular form
  • Current certificate of enrolment from SRH Fernhochschule
  • Current overview of academic achievements
  • Letter of motivation (approx. 1-2 pages) or motivation video
  • Concrete description of the planned stay abroad (study visit or language course, country, city, name of the institution, duration, relevance to studies)
  • Proof of language proficiency
  • Letter of recommendation from a professor or university lecturer at SRH DLU from the applicant's field of study

These are your application deadlines: 

  • Start of the stay between 1 January - 30 June: November 30 of the previous year
  • Start of stay between 1 July - 31 December: June 30 of the same year
