Organisation

How to organise your internship

You must look for an internship independently. This includes searching for opportunities, applying and arranging your travel and accommodation. Internships abroad can be funded by the Erasmus+ programme for a period ranging from two to twelve months. If your application is successful, the funding period will depend on the available funding and the number of applications at that time. Blended mobility is also an option, allowing you to combine a short stay (5-30 days) with online learning. Important: Your internship should meet both your academic and personal development goals.

Funding

This is how your funding works

The Erasmus+ mobility grant depends on the length of your stay and the destination country of your host organisation. You can receive funding for a minimum of 2 months and up to 12 months in a European host organisation. The amount of the grant depends on the funds available and the number of applications at the time of your application. The Erasmus+ grant will be paid in two instalments: 70% before your departure and the remaining 30% on your return, once all formalities have been completed:

Country group 1 - EUR 750/month
for internships in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden

Country group 2 - EUR 690/month
for internships in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain

Country group 3 - EUR 640/month
for internships in Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Republic of North Macedonia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary

You may also be eligible for additional funding for using sustainable transportation, as well as special grants for participants with fewer opportunities.
